San Francisco Nude Restaurant Ban Being Discussed

Proposed ordinance that would require nudists to cover up when eating in public takes another step forward.

A controversial proposed San Francisco measure to forced nudists who like to eat to cover up before they enter a restaurant will be discussed Thursday.

The Board of Supervisors public safety committee will take up the proposal of Supervisor Scott Weiner that would require nudists to spread out a towel when they want to sit down and cover up before they enter a restaurant.

Weiner has been taking criticism in some of the neighborhoods he represents while he says it is an issue of public health and nothing else.

Nudists will be allowed to attend the public hearing at San Francisco City Hall Thursday. But they will be required to cover up.
