San Jose Man Stuck Between Buildings Rescued

After the rescue, police realized that Arturo Aguilar Corona, 32, had been wanted in connection with a hit-and-run on Wednesday at 10 p.m.

San Jose fire rescue crews extricated a man who fell 20 feet from a  roof and became stuck between two buildings at a shopping plaza early Thursday, according to San Jose fire officials.

After the rescue, police realized that Arturo Aguilar Corona, 32, had been wanted in connection with a hit-and-run on Wednesday at 10 p.m. That's when Officer Jose Garcia said Corona allegedly crashed his Honda Civic into an Acura Integra at South King and Aborn roads, injured a person in the car, and fled from the California Highway Patrol.

On Thursday just before 2 a.m., Corona fell off a roof at the Orchard Supply Hardware Store near Aborn Road and East Capitol Expressway, and got stuck in a wall crevice there, before firefighters could extricate him.

Police arrested Corona, though he is still at the hospital, and a booking photo was not immediately available.
