San Jose Police Investigate Double, Single Homicides

San Jose city councilman would like to reorganize fire department and add resources to the police force in wake of killings. Damian Trujillo reports.

San Jose police on Tuesday identified the city's 19th homicide victim of 2013 as 20-year-old Justin Watkins.

Watkins was killed about 10 p.m.,  in the 100 block  of Hayes Avenue. No suspects have been arrested in his shooting death.

Earlier on Sunday, two teens were killed in a double-homicide marking homicides 17 and 18. The students at Independence High School were shot and killed in East San Jose at Rhinehart Drive and Clogston Road near Kohl's Department store shortly before 6:30 p.m.
