Santa Clara police have an apartment surrounded on the 2300 block of Pruneridge Ave. They believe the suspect of a Tuesday afternoon bank robbery is holed up inside.
The Bank of the West at 2200 Business Circle, near Saratoga and Prunridge was robbed around 2:50 p.m. Tuesday. San Jose police chased the suspect into Santa Clara county where SCPD took over.
Officials attempted to get the suspect to surrender Tuesday evening.
The roadway into the apartment complex was shut down, and six people were evacuated.
After hours of negotiations, the suspect surrendered to police.
It is unknown if the suspect has any connection to other Santa Clara county bank robberies.
