Smartphone App Claims to Repel Mosquitos Somehow

This smartphone app claims to be able to repel mosquitos.

OK, not to be overly skeptical here, but I seriously doubt this Japanese "Mosquito Buster" smartphone app actually keeps mosquitos away.

This app, which is available now on Android and is coming to iOS soon, claims to keep pesky blood suckers away from you by emitting a high-frequency tone. And everybody knows that mosquitos hate high frequencies. Actually, wait. I think that's dogs. So if you're looking to keep dogs away from you, arm yourself with this and hold your phone out in front of you. Want to keep mosquitos away? Buy some bug spray like a normal person.
