The Berkeley Police Department's homicide unit was called out on Sunday to the south side of Aquatic Park to investigate a "suspicious death."
About 4:15 p.m., a man was found on his back, lying motionless, police said. Officers found the man, in his 50s, dead at the scene, police said.
The Homicide detail was sent to determine whether foul play was involved.
