The San Francisco Police Department announced Tuesday that officers arrested three individuals in two recent home burglaries that occurred in the Taraval District.
At 11:30 a.m. on March 1, officers responded to a report of a home burglary in the 600 block of Sloat Boulevard.
According to police, a resident woke up to find a suspect entering his bedroom, but then slammed the bedroom door shut. The resident looked out of his bedroom window and saw the suspect climbing out of the kitchen window and into the yard.
According to police, around the same time, a nearby resident heard noise coming from a neighbor's house and also witnessed a man tumbling out of the home's window and into the yard. The suspect allegedly ran toward Sigmund Stern Recreation Grove, yelling "Run, run, run!"
Officers arrived at the scene to investigate and began searching for the suspects in Stern Grove. Officers then located two people who matched the suspects' descriptions and were out of breath.
Officer detained the two suspects, who were then identified by the burglary victim and the witness.
The two male suspects were identified as 20-year-old Alexis Mancia and 40-year-old Rene Garcia, both from San Francisco. They were arrested on suspicion of burglary, conspiracy and possessing burglary tools.

Days earlier, police also arrested another burglary suspect in the same neighborhood.
At 9:40 p.m. on Feb. 26, officers conducted surveillance on a suspect who emerged from a home in the 2200 block of 37th Avenue. Officers briefly lost sight of the suspect until he emerged from the tunnel entry of another residence in the 2300 block of 37th Avenue and was carrying a bag with several objects, police said.
Officers believed they had just witnessed a residential burglary and alerted other officers to move in and make an arrest. But when an officer approached, the suspect turned a corner and tried to flee, according to police.
When officers managed to make contact with the suspect, he resisted arrest, but was eventually taken into custody, police said.
An investigation revealed that the suspect was on probation and officers recovered evidence during a search of his home.
The suspect, identified as 40-year-old Joseph Depaoli, was booked into the Taraval police station on suspicion of burglary, resisting arrest and probation violation.
