Vallejo: Shooting Investigation Nets Suspects in String of Armed Robberies

In arresting a suspect Monday in a shooting earlier this month, Vallejo police have uncovered the suspects in several armed robberies, police said.

The shooting happened on Dec. 8 near the corner of Whitney Avenue and Pomona Drive and left a 22-year-old man so badly injured he was in a medically-induced coma until Dec. 16, police said.

The investigation suggested that the suspect in the shooting is James Brisker, 20. Officers later arrested Brisker and Jaymon Matthews, 19, on suspicion of a robbery, police said.

Searching Brisker and Matthews uncovered stolen property from other armed robberies in the Vallejo and Fairfield area, police said.

Police said Brisker has been charged with attempted murder and Matthews has been charged with armed robbery.
