Van Ness Avenue between Post and Geary streets in San Francisco has reopened one lane of traffic in each direction Sunday afternoon.
The remaining lanes are scheduled to reopen by midnight Sunday.
Crews closed the street for construction on California Pacific Medical Center's state-of-the-art hospital.
Shutdowns are also scheduled for April 24 through April 26 and during Labor Day weekend in September.
