Stabbing Suspect Is Confused, Scared: Lawyer

The 16-year-old high school sophomore, who is accused of stabbing and slashing his schoolmates at a Pennsylvania high school Wednesday morning, is confused and scared and did not come from a dysfunctional family, his lawyer told NBC News on Thursday. “If there was something wrong with him, he sure hid it well,” said the lawyer, Patrick Thomassey. Alex Hribal of Murrysville, Pa., has been charged as an adult with four counts of attempted homicide and 21 counts of aggravated assault after the attack at Franklin Regional Senior High School, authorities confirmed Thursday. Thomassey said that he would find a psychiatrist to evaluate Hribal.
