Police will follow "rules of engagement" sketched out by Missouri officials when dealing with demonstrations that are likely to follow a grand jury decision in the case of Michael Brown. Authorities and protest leaders have met five times, as recently as Friday morning, to discuss the rules, St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay said. He said officials agreed to most of the proposed rules, but rejected others that would have inhibited officers' ability to protect people and property. Meanwhile, the FBI and other federal agencies sent teams of agents and officers to Ferguson ahead of the decision, which is expected to be announced by the end of this weekend, and President Obama urged protesters to remain peaceful. A grand jury is deciding whether or not to indict Ferguson police Officer Darren Wilson, who fatally shot Brown back in August.
