Brian Wilson is getting into the business of bowling. The Giants closer is now a partner and part owner of the Lucky Strike Lanes that’s set to open in San Francisco. The bowling alley which also features a full 40-foot-long bar and plenty of food opens next Friday, March 9th. It will be a short walk from AT&T Park at King and 4th streets. San Francisco food blog Grub Street points out it will be just the second public bowling alley to open up within city limits.
In a press release Wilson expressed his excitement (likely in his trademark dry tone), “I am pumped to be in the Lucky Strike mix and am honored that lane 12 will be renamed lane 38. I love that number, and I expect to roll many massive strikes on that lane”.
The San Francisco location will be Lucky Strike's 20th in 11 states as well as Washington, D.C. and Canada. It’s first location opened in Hollywood back in 2004.
