Kyle Blanks, the 30-year-old outfielder who originally signed with the Giants in November 2015, will reportedly get another shot with the organization.
Blanks has signed a minor league deal with the Giants, according to Baseball America.
The Giants had hoped that Blanks would help the club in left field during the 2016 season, but he dealt with foot injuries and didn't play a game during the entire season.
In 278 games over seven seasons with the Padres, A's and Rangers, Blanks hit .241/.322/.416 with 43 doubles, 33 home runs and 111 RBI.
