Twitter Launches a New Storytelling Site

San Francisco-based social-networking site looks to get deeper than 140-characters.

Twitter wants to be deeper than 140-characters.

The San Francisco-based microblogging site introduced a new site called Twitter Stories, where tweeters are asked to share why and how they use Twitter.

Stories can be as simple as a house mom who uses it to stay in touch with her children or the man who sends updates on behalf of Caltrains explaining train delays.

All the stories are wrapped up into a sleek interface and some are told by Twitter users in their own words on video.

To tell your story, simple tweet by mentioning @twitterstories or by using the hashtag #twitterstories on your Twitterfeed.

Visit the website to see some of the stories behind Twitter.
