UC Davis Offers Free Hardcore Porn

Porn screening on UC Davis campus

Hardcore porn made its way to a chemistry lecture hall at UC Davis Thursday night.

The movie "Pirates II: Stagnetti's Revenge" was offered for free to all students.

The movie is "big-budget" (for porn) and mixes computer-generated special effects with sex scenes.  It cost $10 million to make and is considered the most expensive porn flick to date.

The film is part of an educational effort by the Entertainment Council.

The council did their advertising on Facebook and received more than 500 RSVPs.  The venue has 440 seats.

According to the council, the goal is not porn, but rather a chance to discuss difficult subjects such as sexuality and gender roles.

"We will have a speaker that will talk about porn fantasy issues before the screening," Criddle said.

Some students admitted they were at least a little curious, while others said they didn't need to attend because they had  already seen it.

"It came out. I don't know, we saw it like a month ago or so," UC Davis student Sakiv Vahora said. "Personally, I wouldn't really go because I look kind of trashy, like a guy going in here with a lot of other girls."

Only Davis students were invited and student IDs were checked at the door.  Davis isn't the first campus to hold a free screening.  They are happening around the country.  UCLA has already hosted the movie for its students.

The company that distributes the film is offering it for free for campus screenings.

Next week's movie is Oscar-winner  "Slumdog Millionaire."
