12 Member Volunteer Teams are needed to help with the NBC Food Drive on Nov 20

The NBC Bay Area Holiday Food and Turkey Drive will take place at all Bay Area Safeway Food Stores. We are looking for 12 member volunteer teams to take on an entire store for the day. Each group will need to split into two shifts: 9-12:30PM (morning) and 12:30-4PM (afternoon) --all will solicit donations at the entrances and from inside the store. It's an easy job, and you will act as our ambassadors for the food drive with no heavy lifting and you will feel good about helping your local food bank . If you are under the age of 18 years of age, we request one adult supervisor to help with each shift. Also, NBC Bay Area news teams will be visiting several locations to cover for that evening’s newscast. If you are a part of a school or church band, cheerleader squad please consider entertaining the shoppers outside the store while collecting food. All volunteer teams who sign up by November 11, 2010 will be given a NBC Bay Area Proud t-shirt.

Time: Teams will cover the entire day shifts 9 am-12:30pm and 12:30-4pm

Age Restrictions: Must have an adult supervisor at all times if volunteers are below the age of 18 years of age

Notes: Estimate 6 people per shift (12 total for each store for the day) - two at each entrance doors (4) and two people inside the store near the pre-packaged donation bags and frozen turkeys.
