National River Cleanup Day

Join us as we help cleanup rivers thorughout the Bay Area on May 16th.

National River Cleanup Day is an effort to preserve and protect Bay Area waterways by removing debris from creeks, rivers and lakes.  NBC Bay Area will be participating at the Guadalupe Park event, and there are 29 additional events at different locations around the Bay Area.

Date: Saturday, May 16, 2009
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Age restrictions:  All minors need to be accompanied by an adult and have their waiver of liability signed by a parent/gaurdian
Type of work: Removing debris from waterways
Recommended attire: Long pants, closed-toe shoes
Items to bring: Gloves will be provided
Meals provided: Light snacks
Beverages provided: Water
Rain contingencies:  Rain or shine
Parking Available:  Street parking
