If you needed more prove that the iPhone is a status symbol for the social elite here it is: Santana Row says it is one of the first shopping centers in the country to develop an iPhone app.

On Tuesday the high end San Jose mixed-use center unveiled an app that gives users access to a store directory, plaza news and coupons.

The Business Times said the app will also give users the chance to review restaurants such as Blowfish and get movie and concert listings for the plaza. It will also directly connect to the Santana Row Concierge Center.

Santana Row is home to several high end salons, stores, restaurants and late night hangout spots. It features everything for shoppers from Urban Outfitters and Diesel to Gucci and Salvatore Ferragamo.

The shopping centers plans to add features to the app such as gift card sales, real-time parking information and restaurant reservations in the future, according to the Business Times.
