This watch case is almost as awesome as the timepiece itself.

Betsey Johnson's imminent retirement is some of the saddest news we've heard all month. What designer is going to do cartwheels down the runway once Ms. Johnson is gone? Certainly not Michael Kors.

Luckily, there's plenty of fun new offerings from Betsey to cheer us up. We're particularly partial to this watch, which has a gold case and 38 stones and comes with an expansion band.

This watch isn't for wallflowers. It's big and chunky and the face looks like something out of "Alice in Wonderland." But that's why we like it-- it's a statement piece that screams "Betsey" minus the pink. Not that there's anything wrong with pink, mind you, but it's not every day that one wants to wear a pink watch.

The best part of this accessory is undoubtedly the case. It looks like a miniature dresser, complete with the leopard print details and rose handles that make one think that perhaps this is the type of furniture that lives in Ms. Johnson's own home. Is there any way to create a human-sized version? We'd buy it in a second.
