BREW TIME: Yep. The site for the 15th Annual Battle of the Brews does indeed have two sparring mugs o' beer. It charms us, in much the same way that a tuba-playing otter in a boater charms. And while beers will be indeed sparring at the Battle, you'll be the winner. Well, along with the local Youth Benevolent Fund, which will be the day's beneficiary. The Active 20-30 Club of Santa Rosa is organizing the day.
FOOD/BEVS: It isn't just about the beverages, though, although there will be two and a half dozen different beers to try; some 20 food vendors will be keeping energies up as well. The date's March 25, but we're mentioning this now because you can save a fiver if you buy your ticket before Feb. 25. After Feb. 25, a ticket price is $40, plus fee. Check out the brew list, which includes favorites like Sonoma Springs and Lagunitas Brewing Company.
