Hungry Ghosts Art Exhibition for the 18th Annual United States of Asian American Festival

The Asian American Women Artist Association, Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Center, and Manilatown Heritage Foundation are joining forces to present Hungry Ghosts, a multidisciplinary art exhibition featuring the work of emerging and established Asian American and Pacific Islander artists from around the country.

Located at the historic I-Hotel Manilatown Center Gallery in San Francisco, Hungry Ghosts explores the way unresolved personal and collective struggles, often reemerging into public consciousness in overtly violent or subtle ways, continue to haunt us today. In addition to the art, film, performances and literary works, Hungry Ghosts will feature a pop-up shop featuring affordable artwork by the exhibition’s artists and a wishing wall public art installation.
