The Oscar-winner is set to perform the title tune from her new film “Country Strong” opposite Vince Gill at next month’s Country Music Association Awards, The Associated Press reported.

In the film, which premieres in Los Angeles and Nashville on Dec. 22, Paltrow plays a country crooner trying to make another go of her stalled career. Tim McGraw, Garrrett Hedlund and Leighton Meester co-star.

“Country Strong” director Shana Feste acknowledged to People mag that Paltrow is “not who you'd think of when you think country singer.”

But Feste said she knew the blonde screen stunner and web entrepreneur had the acting "chops to do it.”

Paltrow has said she drew inspiration for her role by listening to songs by Hank Williams Sr., Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn.

"I had never really known very much about country music, and I now am very into it. I know a lot more about it than I did," she told the AP in a recent interview.

Besides the live CMA Awards performance Nov. 10 in Nashville, Paltrow is also likely to showcase her vocal talents on “Glee,” according to E! Online.

The actress has already reportedly begun shooting her guest spot for the Fox hit.
