SF Cop Critically Injured After Crash

A San Francisco police officer who was part of a police escort for  a toy drive Sunday morning remains in critical condition today after he lost  control of his motorcycle on a rain-slicked road and crashed, police said.

Police spokesman Sgt. Wilfred Williams said two motorcycle  officers who were escorting a group delivering toys to San Francisco General  Hospital for the toy drive lost control of their motorcycles on the wet  roadway and crashed into a parked car.

One of the men remains in critical condition in the intensive care  unit at San Francisco General Hospital. The other was released Sunday,  Williams said.

The crash happened on Bayshore Boulevard near Wheat Street at  about 10:30 a.m., according to Williams.
