A preliminary 3.2 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of northern Santa Cruz County and southern San Mateo County Thursday morning, according to the USGS.
The quake, which hit at 9 a.m., was centered 11 miles west-northwest of Davenport and 20.2 miles west-northwest of Santa Cruz, the USGS reported.
