BART ‘s Seat Focus Open to Public

The next 'seat lab' for the public is May 11.

BART's 'Fleet of the Future' project is hosting the next seat lab for the general public on May 11 at San Francisco State University.

The rapid transit service started shuttling riders around the Bay in 1972. It's time for a reboot.

The new cars will seem just as slick as when the governor was Ronald Reagan -- and the seats will be an integral part of the design process.

Public input is top-of-mind for BART, as they'll need all the support they can get from different government agencies to fund the new cars.
