SCU Professor Teaches Football, Physics Go Hand in Hand

Listen up young football players: Just because you like to kick, punt and pass, doesn't mean you can let math and science slide.

In a YouTube video, Santa Clara University's Professor Phil Kesten explains some of the simple physics laws at play for football - a timely lesson before Sunday's Super Bowl game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens.

Some of those lessons include showing an eager SCU student how to get down low to best tackle someone like running back Frank Gore

"So when you watch the Super Bowl, make sure to watch for physics," Kesten says on the video. "It's everywhere."
