A male suspect accused of shooting two men at a Benicia bar early Sunday is in custody, police said.

Daniel Lopez, who reportedly pulled out a firearm and shot two patrons inside the Bottom of the Fifth bar located in the 400 block of Military East, was found in a parked car in Vallejo and arrested late Sunday without incident, police said.

Witnesses inside the bar reported a verbal confrontation before Lopez, 33, opened fire and fled the scene, police said. A subsequent investigation and tips from the public helped located Lopez in the neighboring city.

Lopez was booked into Solano County jail and faces charges for attempted homicide, assault with a firearm and brandishing a firearm, according to police.

The two victims were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Police are continuing to investigate the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to contact 707-745-3411. Those wishing to remain anonymous are encourage to call 707-644-7867.
