Suspect in Triple Stabbing at Pittsburg WinCo Food Store Arrested: Police

The suspect in a stabbing that injured three store employees Thursday night has been arrested, Pittsburg police said Friday.

Anthony Jaramillo, 34, was named earlier in the day as the suspect in the stabbing at a WinCo Foods store. Police said they received multiple tips from the public after they released surveillance video images Thursday night.

Police said Jaramillo was arrested at his mother's home without incident on suspicion of robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.

Officers were dispatched at 8:20 p.m. to the store at 2400 N. Park Blvd. on a report of the alleged stabbing, according to police.

Officers found one adult employee stabbed in the back and two adult employees each stabbed in the forearm, police said.

Two of the victims remain in the hospital but all three are expected to survive, according to police.

Police allege Jaramillo went into the store and stole some shaving razors off the shelf.

Five employees allegedly confronted Jaramillo and a physical struggle ensued, according to police.

Jaramillo allegedly used a medium sized knife to stab the employees and fled before officers arrived, police said.

Officers are following up on leads and searched the area with police dogs and a helicopter, according to police.
