The Sonoma County Sheriff said evacuations were ordered in Windsor Thursday afternoon after firefighters discovered an explosive device.
Fire crews were fighting a fire in a mobile home park in Windsor when they found the explosive device in a neighboring structure, officials said.
The evacuations took place at the 8200 block of Conde Lane.
Authorities cleared the area at about 5:30 p.m.
No other information was immediately available.
