Pancakes in the Mountains

If your father can’t get enough of Mother Nature, take him for a hike up to the West Point Inn. This historic lodge is nestled away on the side of Mt. Tamalpais in Mill Valley. Once at the summit, families can treat themselves to a Father’s Day pancake breakfast at the hotel. The quaint outside seating will provide breathtaking views of the mountains and bay, echoing days from the California frontier. The lodge will be serving pancakes from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. No reservation is required.

Homeruns and Hotdogs

On June 18, the Oakland Athletics will be playing the New York Yankees. By heading over to the Oakland Coliseum for the baseball game, you will be able to spend the day eating peanuts and basking in the sun. Tickets start at $15 dollars, making this an easy, yet enjoyable, outing.

Admire Antique Cars

Take a drive up to Napa Valley to explore the Father’s Day Classic Autos Cruise. This gathering is promised to have cars of every kind. Here, your dad can reminisce about his first dream car or plan what to do with all his retirement money. The show is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., which will still allow time to explore the surrounding marketplace. This is a free event to the public.

Cruise on the Waters

Sometimes, fathers need to feel fancy. The best way to do this is by taking him on a cruise around the bay. Hornblower Cruises and Events are hosting several Father’s Day excursions, providing booze and food on their yachts. Customers can choose from four different trips, all of which have music and great views of the water. Tickets are available for purchase online.
