Amber Heard and Johnny Depp's blunder Down Under won't soon be forgotten.
In April, Depp was publicly scolded after it was discovered that he did not declare his Yorkshire Terriers, Boo and Pistol, thereby breaking the country's quarantine laws. At the time, Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce demanded the dogs leave the country or risk being euthanized. If the matter goes to court and Depp is found guilty, he could face up to 10 years in prison or a maximum fine of $265,000.
Heard was asked about the ordeal Monday while promoting "Magic Mike XXL" on Australia's "Sunrise" show. "I have a feeling we're going to avoid the land Down Under from now on, just as much as we can, thanks to certain politicians there," said the 29-year-old actress, who was joined by her co-star, Andie MacDowell. In a jab aimed at Australia's Agriculture Minister, she said, "I don't know, I guess everyone tries to go for their 15 minutes, including some government officials."
Needless to say, "Sunrise's" co-hosts didn't appreciate Heard's comments.
"That's a bit disappointing," Samantha Armytage said after the interview. "She should be more respectful of our quarantine laws." David Koch agreed with Armytage, saying, "Hollywood types. They think they're a bit above the law."

Since April, Joyce has been at the forefront of the doggy drama.

"There is a process if you want to bring animals: you get the permits, they go into quarantine and then you can have them," Joyce explained during an interview with Australia's ABC radio in late April. "But if we start letting movie stars–even though they've been the Sexiest Man Alive twice–to come into our nation [and break the laws], then why don't we just break the laws for everybody?"
Joyce gave Depp 50 hours to remove the animals from Australian soil.
The actor complied with the minister's request, and the dogs flew to California.
Depp, who had been filming "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" in Queensland, injured his hand in March and flew back to the U.S. to undergo surgery. When he returned in April via a private jet, Depp failed to declare his Yorkshire Terriers. The movie star has yet to publicly comment on the ordeal.
And the dogs? "Pistol's just fine," Heard said on Sunrise. "She's with me today."
