Andrew Bogut Out For Rest of NBA Finals

CLEVELAND - Center Andrew Bogut’s left knee injury will force him to miss what remains of the NBA Finals, the Warriors announced Wednesday.

Bogut on Tuesday underwent a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) test, which revealed “multiple bone bruises to the proximal tibia and distal femur.” His anticipated recovery time is at least six weeks, but he will not require surgery.

He is with the team Cleveland, where Game 6 will be played Wednesday night.

Bogut sustained the injury in a collision with Cavs guard JR Smith in the third quarter of a 112-97 loss in Game 5 Monday night at Oracle Arena. Bogut started but committed four fouls in in his first six minutes and played only eight minutes before leaving with the injury.

The 11th-year veteran made 66 starts in the regular season and started all 22 games of the postseason.
