Curry Tests Right Ankle After Tweak, Then Leaves in Third Quarter Vs Hawks

Though he returned in the second quarter after tweaking his right ankle late in the first quarter, Stephen Curry left in the third quarter of the Warriors-Hawks game Friday night and did not return.

Curry sustained the tweak when while in defensive pursuit, his right foot landed atop the left foot of center Zaza Pachulia. Curry left the game with 1:22 remaining in the opening quarter.

He returned with 7:18 left in the half and scored 15 points before the break. He opened the third quarter but left the game for good with 6:24 remaining in the quarter.

Curry scored 28 points, 18 of which came after he tweaked the right ankle, the same ankle he sprained on Dec. 4, forcing him out of the lineup for the next 11 games.
