Evander Kane's night ended early on Tuesday.
In the third period of the Sharks' 5-0 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 4 of their first-round Stanley Cup playoffs series, Kane cross-checked Golden Knights forward Paul Stastny in the neutral zone. In the ensuing scrum moments later, Kane hit Vegas defenseman Colin Miller in the face.

The Sharks winger picked up two minutes for the cross-check, two for roughing and a 10-minute misconduct to boot. Kane skated down the Sharks' tunnel with 10:40 remaining, and the T-Mobile Arena DJ trolled Kane on his way to San Jose's locker room.

Earlier Tuesday, Kane told reporters that "I thought I was fighting the Muffin Man" in a Game 3 bout with Golden Knights winger Ryan Reaves. Kane and Reaves have long traded verbal jabs, but their trash talking has taken on new life in this first-round series.
With Kane's frustration boiling over late in Game 4, it probably won't stop until the series does. Trailing 3-1 in the series, the Sharks hope that isn't Thursday in Game 5.
