You and a friend could find yourselves at the World Series parade on Friday – that is, in the parade, riding one of the floats – if you're the lucky winner of an MLB auction underway Thursday afternoon. (Editor's note: The auction is over as of 6 p.m. Thursday)
Major League Baseball is auctioning off two spots for two people each – four paraders total – to ride on the Giants Community Fund float in the parade that steps off at noon.
Bidding was at $5,200 as of noon on Thursday, with the auction set to close at 6 p.m.
The lucky winners will need to show up to AT&T Park at 8 a.m. Friday in order to join the parade.
Bring your own champagne (or sparkling wine). The city will provide the confetti.
