Former Cal Student Found After Being Reported Missing

Authorities are no longer looking for a former University of California at Berkeley student who was reported missing while camping Saturday, according to the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office.

Camille Withuhn, 27, of Sacramento, was last seen at about noon Saturday at the Golden Pines campground in Dorrington, according to the sheriff's office. Monday afternoon, authorities said she had been found safe. They said she called her mom and said she had no idea anyone was looking for her.

Withuhn had last been seen walking away from the campground toward state Highway 4 for unknown reasons.

The sheriff's search and rescue team searched the area with a helicopter and dogs and tracked her back to the highway, where the trail went cold, sheriff's Sgt. Anthony Eberhardt said.

Withuhn's family and friends posted about her disappearance on social media.
