Family of Four on Small Plane That Crashed in Novato

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating a small plane crash that shut down the Marin County airport on Sunday.

First responders say a family of four took off in a small plane from Reno.

When the pilot tried to land in Novato, he overshot the runway and ended up in the weeds about noon.

The family comprised couple and their two children,  Novato fire Capt. Don Fletcher told the Marin Independent Journal. They were treated for minor to moderate injuries, he said.
