Two local advocates are teaming up with San Francisco police on a crowdfunding campaign to get guns off the streets.

GunByGun.org lets supporters donate money through an Indiegogo crowdfunding page.

The money goes toward funding gun buyback programs in San Francisco--that's where anyone can turn in a working gun for cash, no questions asked.

The organization is run by Eric King, gun violence prevention activist from Berkeley, and Ian Johnstone, whose father was shot and killed in an attempted robbery in San Francisco when Johnstone was 10 years old.
