Police Investigating Fatal Shooting in Fairfield

Police said 21-year-old Terrell Brumfield was reported shot at Parkway Gardens in the area of El Verano Court shortly after 8 p.m. Friday.

The victim in a fatal shooting that occurred in Fairfield Friday night has been identified as Terrell Brumfield, according to police.

Brumfield, 21, was reported shot at Parkway Gardens in the area of El Verano Court shortly after 8 p.m., according to police.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A vigil was held this evening for Brumfield, who has had previous contacts with law enforcement, according to police.

The Parkway Gardens neighborhood has had ongoing problems with gun violence, according to the police.

There were numerous witnesses to Friday's shooting and police are asking for the community's help in solving the crime.
