San Jose Police Searching for Attempted Sexual Assault Suspect

San Jose police are searching for a man accused of attempted sexual assault.

The alleged incident occurred Monday in the area of South 33rd Street and East San Fernando Street. The suspect approached the victim while she was walking and then attempted to get her to enter his vehicle, police said.

When she refused, the man reportedly exited his car and physically assaulted the victim, according to police. The victim was able to escape and run from the scene, police said.

When officers arrived on scene the suspect was nowhere to be found and has not been located.

The suspect is described as 20 to 25 years old, tall, thin and with a thin mustache. He was last seen wearing a striped sweater and dark jeans. Police said he was driving a white, four-door sedan with a silver grill.
