A preliminary 2.5 magnitude earthquake struck Tuesday just off the coast of Point Reyes National Seashore, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The quake hit at 12:41 p.m. and was centered about 6 miles southwest of Point Reyes Station, the USGS said.
No other information was immediately available.
