The California Highway Patrol is alerting motorists this evening of an overturned big rig on the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge, a CHP officer said. The big rig overturned at about 5:35 p.m. and all westbound lanes remained blocked as of 6:15 p.m., CHP Officer Nicole Pacheco said. She said eastbound lanes would also have to be shut down so that crews could upright the big rig. Commuters are being advised to take alternate routes and there was no estimated time for when the collision would be cleared. A Sig-alert was issued for the bridge at 5:51 p.m.
