Newsom Clears His Political Calendar for the Giants, Throws Party

Don't bother the mayor, he has a baseball game to watch.

It's no secret that San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom is a Giants' fan. The man had his dadchelor's party at a Giants game back in September 2009.

Now the lieutenant governor hopeful has cleared his political calendar to root on his hometown heros.

Newsom, who was at Wednesday Game 1 victory over the Texas Rangers hob nobbing with Barry Bonds, plans to be at Thursday's game as well.

But the World Series party won't stop when the Giants fly out to Texas this weekend. Instead Newsom will host a game watching party at some yet-to-be determined city location.

The kicker of the party: it will be booze free.
