What a difference two years can make.
During his presidency, President George W. Bush was not a frequent visitor to the Bay Area but W sightings in the Bay Area have become quite popular over the past few weeks.
After rumors of Mr. Bush making an appearance at AT&T Park turned out to be false, the former president made a visit Facebook's Palo Alto headquarters Monday to promote his new book, "Decision Points."
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg interviewed Mr. Bush and users of the social network were able to submit their questions to the president via Facebook. The interview was also streamed live on Facebook Live.
The in person audience was made up of Facebook employees, which fellow Republican Meg Whitmanlearned is not always a guarantee of a friendly audience. In the end, this visit did end up on the friendly side with the former president making quite a few of them laugh out loud as he poked fun at himself.
A Facebook spokesperson said Mr. Bush's Palo Alto visit would be his only stop in the Bay Area.
