Canceled Amber Alert: Father Suspected of Kidnapping Daughter

Update: This Amber Alert was canceled at about 6 a.m., Aug. 31.

San Benito County authorities have released more details this morning about an active Amber Alert for a 13-year-old Hollister girl.

Cristina Ramirez was reported missing around 4 p.m. Tuesday, according to law enforcement officials.

She is described as a Hispanic girl, about 4 feet tall, weighing 85 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing her school uniform which consists of a white polo shirt and a blue skirt.

Authorities are searching for her father, Marcelo Ramirez, as a suspect in her abduction.

He is described as a 34-year-old Hispanic man, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

His vehicle is described as a white Honda Odyssey with California license plate No. 3WAN638. The Odyssey has tinted rear windows and a Coast Auto Insurance sticker on the rear window.
