Family, Friends, Police in Gilroy Search Door-to-Door for Missing Woman

Worried family members, friends, and police combed their neighborhood door-to-door Saturday, looking for any signs of a missing woman.

Noemi "Mimi" Coolbaugh, 49, of Cotati was last seen leaving her sister's Gilroy home on foot on Sunday around 7 a.m. She was not carrying her cell phone, wallet, keys, and purse when she left, according to Sgt. Pedro Espinoza.

Coolbaugh's friends and family spent all-day Saturday searching downtown and Christmas Hill Park, knocking on doors in hopes of getting clues as to where she is.

Coolbaugh's brother Joshua Aguilar made a public plea for her sister to come home.

"Mimi, if you're able to hear this, we are trying everything we can to find you--and we will," he said. "Just know that we love you and miss you."

She was last seen wearing a tan baseball cap, sunglasses, a dark blue zippered jacket, tan Capri-style pants and light blue tennis shoes, police said.

She is described as Hispanic, standing about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing around 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Her family said she was battling depression and has diabetes.

Her family is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to her location, police announced Friday. They are also looking for volunteers to help them comb the Gilroy area looking for her.

Anyone with information on Coolbaugh's whereabouts is asked to call Gilroy police at 408-846-0350.
