Samaritan House Holiday Events

This year marks 45 years that Samaritan House has been serving the Peninsula’s working poor with recent expansions in Menlo Park and East Palo Alto. Every year, the Samaritan House holds holiday events to help community members in need, below are three events happening around San Mateo. 

SAMARITAN HOUSE FOOD DISTRIBUTION – Over 3 tons of fresh produce, frozen turkeys and canned goods to be distributed to hundreds of registered clients.

WHEN: Saturday, November 23, 9AM-11AM

WHERE: College Park Elementary, San Mateo

SAMARITAN HOUSE THANKSGIVING MEAL – The biggest charitable meal on the Peninsula, open to the public.

WHEN: Thursday, November 28, 12PM-3PM

WHERE: MLK Community Center, San Mateo

SAMARITAN HOUSE HOLIDAY TOY SHOP – Nearly 20,000 toys, coats and books given to registered families in need, festive decor in a department store style setup. Carolers, children and long lines of families receiving gifts. Congresswoman Jackie Speier has attended the past 3 years to help wrap presents!
