Fans are invited to tip off their holiday celebrations with a festive tree lighting ceremony this Wednesday, December 4 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. with the tree lighting taking place at 6:30 p.m. Join NBC Bay Area anchor, Marcus Washington, as he emcees the exciting tree lighting ceremony. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to take photos with Santa in the Thrive City Warriors Shop and will enjoy performances in the plaza by The Mary Old Christmas Carolers, San Francisco Boys Choir, the GS Breakers and Chinese Lion Dancers. Additional holiday cheer includes multiple photo opportunities, face painters, balloon artists, crafting booths and special holiday-themed food and drink available. All attendees are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy to donate to the San Francisco Firefighter’s Local 798 Toy Program.
Thrive City Holiday Lights is a festive holiday gathering space where friends and family can take photos in front of the tallest Christmas tree in San Francisco, enjoy nightly holiday lighting shows and walk amongst the holiday decorations at the Thrive City Plaza. This space will be open to the public for the span of the holiday season, from December 4th until January 5th.

Decorative elements of Holiday Lights at Thrive City includes:
•A 90-foot Christmas tree, the largest in San Francisco, located in the center of Thrive City’s West Plaza adorned with over 16,900 LED lights and 300 ornaments
•A 30-foot Christmas tree located in Thrive City’s East Plaza decorated with over 4,550 animated lights, 2,600 ornaments and a 4-foot animated snowfall topper that will perform a synchronized show every 30 minutes
•An 11-foot tall menorah located in the Thrive City Esplanade
•An 11-foot tall kinara located in the Thrive City Esplanade
•Twelve glistening trees and reindeer, measuring up to 20 feet each, on display near the East Entrance above the Bike Valet
•Over 1,600 feet of double lit garland adorning the area
•Nearly 150 twinkling stars and snowflakes hanging
•Over 13,000 ornaments on display
•Six giant stars shimmering inside the West Lobby ranging from six to nine feet
•Three dedicated photo opportunities, including a 14-foot illuminated walk through ring
•Kaiser Permanente invites visitors to reflect and share “How do you Thrive?” this holiday season on the Thrive City community art wall
