Tikim Filipino Food Fun Run 2018

May 13, 2018 | San Mateo, CA

The Filipino Channel (TFC) celebrates Filipino culture with Tikim, the first ever Filipino Food Fun Run! Tikim, or "to taste" in Filipino, is a 5k run or walk with food stalls at every check point. Participants will have the opportunity to have a taste experience every 1K and sample Filipino dishes and snacks. At each station, it represents each of the Filipino tastes: matamis (sweet), maanghang (spicy), maalat (salty) and maasim (sour). The fun doesn't end there, the food festival begins at the finish line!
Tikim Fun Run will give back as part of the proceeds from registration will go toward Bantay Bata (Child Watch), a feeding program by ABC-CBN Foundation International that provides meals to malnourished kids in the Philippines.
Not only is Tikim Fun Run a way to emerse yourself in Filipino culture, it is a great way to give back. You do not have to be of Filipino decent to participate. This event is open to all ages, races, and genders. Fun for the whole family to enjoy!
