On October 25th, the Northern Mariana Islands of Saipan and Tinian were devastated by Super Typhoon Yutu, the worst storm to hit US soil since 1935.
Countless people have lost their homes and the island will remain without running water and electricity indefinitely. They are in dire need of aid.
In an effort to help, a drive for assistance is underway. Supplies are being donated at drop-off locations throughout the Bay Area, and will be shipped out of Oakland, provided by Matson, on November 17th from the port to Saipan’s port for Marianas Young Professionals to distribute to people in need.
